Our Little Investigators room has been designed with an emphasis firmly on education through fun. A wide range of exciting activities are on offer in our dedicated craft, role play, construction, reading and outdoor areas. There is also a laptop to introduce technology to children at this age in more depth.

Our child friendly storage allows children to select their own toys, learning activities and materials which helps to build on their development in decision making and confidence.

The toilet facilities are easily accessible and situated next to the Little Investigators room, essential for this crucial stage in development when our toddlers are learning to toilet train and become that little bit more independent. We find that the children going to the toilet in small groups throughout the day helps them with toilet training.

The childcare practitioners in our toddler rooms are dedicated to ensuring youngsters develop key skills to set them on the road for their pre-school years.

The children also have the opportunity to take part in football and dancing lessons which occur once a week in the nursery. Three-year-old funding entitlement also starts with the children in this room.

A combination of planned and spontaneous activities are implemented to stretch toddlers' abilities, along with a daily sheet of information shared with parents and guardians.

Little investigators are able to have continued free flow of the outdoor provision and practitioners support their physical development. Current interests and weekly planned activities are displayed in the room.
